Pottery Class: Weekender Throwing Wheel for Beginners
Weekend Pottery Class in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg
This workshop offers an introduction into the first two steps of creating your own ceramic piece on the throwing wheel. Within two sessions in two days I will teach you everything you need to know. Afterwards I will make sure to take care of the third step and glaze the pieces you made in glossy transparent glaze for you.
1. Session: SATURDAY 11am-2:30PM
Short introduction into the world of clay, followed by a demonstration of how to prepare and center the clay on the wheel as well as how to create a vessel. The first time on the wheel can be challenging and that's why this will be the longer session we will have together (3,5 hours). This way I would like to make sure you won't rush and can take your time to get used to the material and wheel.
2. Session: SUNDAY 12AM-2:30PM
This day will be all about trimming the pieces you created the day before (approximately 3-6 pieces).
Once your pieces are fired and glazed by me, you will be able to pick them up in the studio during the Open Studio Hours on Thursday's.
If you would like to glaze your pieces yourself, please take a look at our three day class: Throwing Wheel for Beginners
Minimum number of participants in order for the class to take place is three.

every piece is designed & wheel thrown in our small atelier in Berlin. Therefore, please allow small variations in size, colour or shape. Made from natural material, unglazes surfaces should not be exposed to greasy food for a longer period of time. All products are food & dishwasher safe. Still, washing your items by hand is recommended as it might extend their beauty.
